Professional photographer David Lewins has 25 years of experience in landscape photography and is a firm believer that ‘Getting it right’ with the camera is the most important stage in producing good photography. You’ll start taking pictures straight away with both group and individual tuition and advice throughout the day. We’ll cover basic composition, correct exposure, the use of filters and the use of your camera settings.
There are likely to be some early starts and late afternoon sessions to catch the light, and visits to particularly photogenic locations. Learn to improve your image composition, how to introduce interesting dynamics into your pictures, experiment with aperture, shutter speeds and exposure compensation. You’ll also see the impact of graduated filters and a circular polarising filter on your shots.
Back at the hotel, there will be some tips on the basic processing of your RAW images and compressed jpeg files in your computer for both digital SLR users and for those with simpler point and shoot cameras.
